Ken Duncan's Kimberley Adventure
5 to 17 June, 2017
Ken Duncan is off on another amazing adventure in The Kimberley ... and you are invited!
If you would like to experience the rugged grandeur and spectacular vistas of the most remote parts of Western Australia, you can join Ken on his 2017 Kimberley Adventure.
Some of Ken’s earliest photographic journeys took him into the Kimberley and he has always held a special affection for the area.
The Kimberley is a land of contrasts: deep, red gorges carved by swollen rivers over a thousand wet seasons; peaceful oases lined with graceful river gums; rugged mountain ranges; historic town and outback stations. This is a mysterious land that only reveals its secrets to the most patient and diligent searchers.
But it is a land that Ken Duncan knows intimately - and loves with a passion. And he will reveal it to you on this 13-day adventure.
Ken will introduce you to the breathtaking locations where he and Ray Martin filmed the Chasing the Light Documentary. He will take you to places that tourists rarely see. For example, instead of just viewing Geikie Gorge from a tourist boat, you will explore the top of the escarpment and watch the sun rise over one of Australia's most spectacular gorges.
If you've never been to The Kimberley, you really should go there with Ken. From years of experience, he knows where to be, at what time, to capture the best photos. He has experience in this area that very few photographers can match.
Even if you're not into photography, you deserve to see the very best of our wild west. As part of a small group, touring with Ken in a luxury air-conditioned 4WD coach, you will be delighted and enthralled by the diversity of our country's rugged north-west region.

Here’s what some past participants said about their Kimberley adventure with Ken:
To me the essentials of a successful photographic expedition are to be taken to the right places at the right time by the right people to capture the best possible images and with Ken we had those essential ingredients and much more. Not only is Ken a superb landscape photographer, he is an inspirational mentor - so patient and generous with his teaching and encouragement. It was a privilege to be with him on the 2016 Kimberley expedition. Ken helped all participants create beautiful images of the Kimberley. I have been on a number of other photographic expeditions and this trip certainly ranks with the best. Thank you for your flawless organisation and attention to detail. I can’t wait to join Ken on another photographic expedition .

What a wonderful, beautiful, fun trip it was when we toured the Kimberley with Ken. The atmosphere was friendly and relaxed, the bus was comfortable despite the rough roads, the food was amazing, and the accommodation excellent. We were taken to fabulous photographic locations and inspired to see through the lens, the beauty of the Australian Outback. I can't wait to do it all again.
