MOUNTING OF PRINTS
Archival Gold - your best protection
Archival Gold is the very latest in archival mounting - an innovative new process developed exclusively by our own master craftsmen. It provides the smoothest surface and ensures maximum longevity for your Ken Duncan Limited Edition Print. Arichival Gold affords protection against dust particles, moisture and any other foreign object that may try to invade your precious print. It allows your print to be displayed in areas of high humidity. The print is first mounted on specially treated aluminium and then fully encapsulated in a specially formulated, high quality UV protectant laminate to give a superlative finish to your framed artwork.
Archival Gold will ensure many, many years of visual pleasure to you and your children and to generations beyond.
MDF Mounting
Our small Limited Edition and 4 to 3 ratio Limited Edition Prints prints are mounted onto carefully prepared MDF mounting board, using a pressure sensitive film which is water based for archival stability. This film also acts as a buffer between the mounting board and the print to ensure the archival protection of your print.
MAT BOARDS
We use the highest quality Alpha Rag mats from Bainbridge, which are 100% archival, in three standard colours - Black, White and Cream. We purposely use neutral mat colours so as not to take attention away from the photographs.
GLAZING
All framed prints are finished with Museum Quality Conservation Acrylic which is the highest standard for art works and has many advantages over glass. It ships well as it has high impact resistance for safety, it eliminates 93% of harmful UV rays to provide maximum protection for your prints, and it is temperature neutral and therefore protects your print against convection currents and condensation.
FREIGHT AND DELIVERY
Delivery time
Limited Edition Prints 30" and over: All prints are individually printed to order and each one is a registered, signed and numbered masterpiece. Every large Limited Edition Print has to be inspected and signed by Ken personally so some delays can occur when working around Ken's photographic schedule. Prints are delivered 5-6 weeks from the date your order is placed.
Small Limited Editions will be despatched within 14 days from receipt of your order.
Retail Product: All retail product will be despatched within 3-5 days of receipt of your order. Shipping will be via Australia Post.
Packaging
Every framed print is professionally packaged and fully insured from our door to yours. In the unlikely event that damage should occur in transit, we will have the print collected from you and replaced with a perfect one at no additional charge to you. Our goal is to resolve any problem quickly and to your complete satisfaction.
Freight
We use Federal Express for international delivery of all prints - framed and unframed. They have a terrific safety record and we have complete confidence in their tracking system. The prints are fully insured from our door to yours. When you order a print through our web site, you will receive automatic confirmation of your order. Then, when your print is despatched, we will advise you of the FedEx tracking number for your reference.
Colour Match
Every effort has been made on this Gallery site to accurately represent the vibrant colours of Ken Duncan's images.
However, due to differences in computer screens and certain other variations, the images here should only to be taken as a guide.
Obviously, the colour and sharpness of a finished Ken Duncan Limited Edition Print are far superior to what can be presented on a small screen at low definition.
