Although I had visited the Twelve Apostles many times, this 240 degree scan allowed me to capture the location in an entirely new format. A massive segment of coastline is visible. On the left are the rock-stacks most commonly photographed as the “Twelve Apostles” – though from the opposite direction. On the right, towards the setting sun, are two others not so often seen. Above the whole is a broad expanse of sky, magnificent in its kaleidoscope-like lines and shades. There are times when a “big picture” is precisely what we need. It helps put even familiar icons into their true perspective.
