Long lines of vibrant color touch this field with joy and celebration. The charm of this scene in Washington´s Skagit Valley is strengthened by the simplicity of its country setting. In fact "Field of Rainbows" is not only the title of the photograph, but also the actual name given to the tulip field. Each year, the owners plant a crop that draws visitors from miles around. Sadly, just the night before I arrived, one person had betrayed their policy of openness, and had stolen many blooms. I encouraged them not to let one person spoil their joy and generosity. As this delightful sunset view shows, with its radiant lines of magnificent flowers, their open field is a blessing to all who call by.
