Floods Creek makes up a section of the series of waterfalls known as Somersby Falls, located on the western plateau of the picturesque Central Coast, NSW. Many visitors to the falls, impressed by the imposing upper cascades when they arrive and thinking they´ve "seen it all", unfortunately don´t take the time to descend to the lower more varied waterfalls that continue as the creek plunges into the valley below. This particular section shown is the second set of falls from the top. Ken loves this place, not because it´s big bold and dramatic, but because it is just so quiet and tranquil. The moss covered rocks, the native melaleuca trees clinging stubbornly to the lichen stained boulders and the gentle sprays of fresh mountain water cascading over the falls, leave you with an impression of stillness and nature´s simple harmony.
