The area around Mossman Gorge contains some of the most beautiful and accessible rainforest in the Cairns region. While walking in, I just happened to look at this little creek I was crossing. I was amazed. The roots of the trees were delicately clinging to the water line as the stream gently meandered its way towards Mossman Gorge. I climbed into the creek and set up. I had to wait a couple of hours before the light was right and the air was still enough for a long exposure. This photograph was an exposure of about a minute. It beautifully captured the dense rainforest, the bright fallen leaves, and the long tree-roots threading their way along this wonderful creek.
