Aerial Photography Adventure – Shark Bay, WA
Two Tours – February, 2022 – $5,990 per person
LIMITED PLACES AVAILABLE
Have you ever tried your hand at aerial photography? Soaring aloft, with a bird’s eye view of the landscape below, is a truly thrilling experience!
If you join Ken and Ignacio Palacios on this exciting aerial photography workshop, you will have a bird’s eye view of the amazing landscapes of world-heritage listed Shark Bay and surrounds.
As part of a small group of just 10 participants, you will be photographing these areas during the best times of day for two full days. Depending on conditions, the locations you photograph will include Useless Loop Salt Mine, Francois Peron National Park, The Tree, Little Lagoon, Big Lagoon, Faure Island and Carrarang Sand Dunes. Cape Peron is particularly stunning from the air as you have a clear view of rich red dunes giving way to the white sandy beach and then to turquoise water.
Your aerial photography workshop includes 4 x 90-minute aerial photography sessions in a Cessna 206 around sunrise & sunset, with the doors off to allow you unrestricted access for the best possible aerial photography experience.
Humpback whales visit Shark Bay in great numbers between August and October. They migrate up the coast to their calving grounds in the Kimberley and then return with their calves where they rest and play in the calm protected waters of Shark Bay. The waters around here are also teeming with dugongs and dolphins. You may be lucky enough to capture some of these during your aerial photography sessions – or from the shore.
On the second and third days, around sunrise, you will take a 90-minute aerial flight. During the day you will enjoy presentations by Ignacio and Ken, including processing tips and feedback on your photos. Then around sunset, you will go up in the Cessna again for another 90-minute aerial photography session.
