The NSW Sapphire Coast is a lovely stretch of coastline. Few people are aware of its extraordinary beauty, which is a bonus for those who explore it. This spot is known as Camel Rock because, when viewed from the southern side, it has the appearance of a camel sitting in the surf. But seen from this northern perspective, it has quite a different character. On this day, there were big swells and I had to be careful as the relentless waves smashed against the rocks. Occasionally rogue waves would crash onto the rock platform I was standing on. I had to dodge waves and spray and continually wipe the front of my lens to keep my camera dry and be ready to capture the decisive moments. I love the drama and the motion in this scene as the twilight colours begin to bid farewell to another day.
