What are premium edition prints?
Ken Duncan’s Premium Editions are his premium-quality, fine art Limited Edition Prints. Each print in this category is signed, titled and numbered by Ken and there is a limit to the number of prints available.
Outback Glory, SA https://kenduncan.com/product/outback-glory-sa-sax2714 is an edition of 300. This means that there will only ever be 300 prints produced of this particular image.
Ken Duncan titles, numbers and signs each Premium Edition print by hand.
How do I choose the right image?
Nature never goes out of fashion. And a Ken Duncan print will turn your wall into a window on the beauty of nature. So, the question you need to ask is, what would I like to see through my window?
Choose a scene you like, or an image that moves you. Don’t choose prints according to your décor colours or style. Your Ken Duncan print will outlast all of your furniture – and probably many style changes.
How do I choose the right size print?
The old adage “bigger is better” definitely applies to Ken Duncan artworks if you have the space. So, the more space you have, the better a large print will look. Alternately, if you have high ceilings, a set of vertical images in 50” or 60” size will look stunning. Here are some examples of which sizes work best in various situations.
Click here for the framed measurements of our standard sizes. (link to framed print sizes document).
Some prints are available in larger sizes than we have listed on our website. If you have a very large space to fill, and you need an extra large print, call our Gallery (+61 2 4367 6701) and one of our professional consultants will help you.
How much space do I need around the print?
Usually it’s a good idea to leave at least as much space around a print as you would have around a window.
How do I choose the right frame?
Our standard frames are all made of plantation wood, in a variety of finishes.
As a general rule, warm colours in the image – such as yellow, orange and red – look great in timber or mocha frames. Cool or pastel colours – blue, green, pink, purple and white – generally work better with black or white frames.
Your decor can also be a factor in deciding which frame will suit you best. Timber frames tend to suit country-style decor, while white and black frames will suit a more contemporary decor. What are your window frames made of? Use that as a guide. If you have a coloured feature wall, a white frame can help the image stand out nicely.
When you are browsing through prints in our online gallery, you can select different frame options to see what the image looks like with each finish. This will give you a good idea how it will look in your home.
Please don’t hesitate to contact our Gallery for help choosing the frame that will suit you best.

How do I light my print?
We strongly advise that you invest in lighting for your artworks. Proper lighting will enhance the vibrancy of your print and bring your room to life. The number of lights you need will depend on the size of your print. Be sure to direct the light evenly around your artwork, as well as any main points of interest in the image. To determine how many lights you will need, you can go here. https://www.kenduncan.com/home-lighting-faqs
The use of dimmer switches can further enhance your artwork and allow you to change the mood of your room at different times of day.
We recommend premium quality home lighting especially designed by 3-S lighting, available on our website right here: https://www.kenduncan.com/product-category/products/home-lighting-accessories
Will the colours in my print be the same as I see on the screen?
We make every effort to accurately represent the vibrant colours of Ken Duncan’s images. However, due to differences in computer screens and certain other variations, the images here should only be taken as a guide. Obviously, the colour and sharpness of a finished Ken Duncan Limited Edition Print is far superior to what can be presented on any screen – especially a small screen at low definition.
What is the printing process for my Premium Edition Print?
Your Ken Duncan artwork is printed with Epson UltraChrome pigment based inks on Hahnemuhle White Ultra Smooth Photo Rag 100% cotton, 305 gsm material. There is a white border around the image area for ease of handling and you should handle the print with great care to avoid scuffing, kinking or other damage.
Your fine art print has been sprayed 3 times with a UV protective sealant (certified by the Wilhelm Imaging Research Centre) to provide improved protection against fading and to protect the surface integrity of the print.
What is the framing process for my Premium Edition Print?
If your artwork is framed by us, it is first mounted onto Fomecore, then a mat is cut and placed around the image, leaving the title, number and signature visible. Your print is finished with museum-grade optically clear acrylic for maximum UV protection, then the back is taped securely.
How is my Print delivered?
Each print despatched from the Ken Duncan Gallery is checked, packaged appropriately and sent by Courier. It is fully insured from our door to yours.
When can I expect delivery?
As Premium Edition Prints are individually produced to order, you should allow 4 to 6 weeks from the time you place your order. Each print is registered, then inspected, titled, signed, numbered and sprayed by Ken personally, so some delays can occur when Ken is travelling. If you place your order online, one of our consultants will contact you to advise the estimated delivery date.
If you require a print urgently, please contact the Gallery directly on +61 2 4367 6701 to discuss current despatch times.
How much will I pay for delivery?
The price of Ken a Duncan Limited Edition Print includes delivery anywhere in Australia.
If your print is being sent overseas, the unframed print price includes delivery. If you want to order a framed print to be delivered overseas, please contact the Gallery on +61 2 4367 6701 or email erina@kenduncan.com so we can give you a quote for freight. However, as freight costs for overseas deliveries can be very high, we recommend you order an unframed print. We will send it with detailed framing instructions so a competent, reputable framer will know exactly how we would frame it here.
What happens if my print is damaged in transit?
Framed prints are professionally packaged and fully insured from our door to yours. In the unlikely event of damage in transit, once we get some details from you, we will have the print collected from you and replaced with a perfect one at no additional charge to you.
Do you send framed prints overseas?
We can and will ship prints overseas. However, we strongly recommend you purchase an unframed print if it is being delivered overseas. Each unframed print will arrive with all the necessary framing instructions to ensure that a competent, reputable framer will know exactly how we would frame it here.
Why do we recommend you purchase unframed prints for overseas delivery? Firstly, because the price of unframed prints includes delivery and international freight can be very expensive.
Secondly, sending a framed print overseas – even with a reputable courier – makes it more prone to damage. While each print is covered by door to door insurance, damages cause delays. Damages also require us to get lots of details from you and we understand your time is precious.
Thirdly, we have no control over taxes and charges levied by other countries. Even if we quote you a price for overseas delivery of your framed print, that quote does not include any duties or taxes which may be charged at the time and place of import.
What do I do if I recently purchased a Limited Edition Print from a previous owner?
If you have purchased a Ken Duncan signed and numbered Limited Edition Print from someone else, you should email the Gallery at erina@kenduncan.com and let us know the title and edition number of the print you purchased. (You will find this on the front of the print.) Please also provide your full name, address, contact phone and email address, together with the previous owners contact details and proof of purchase.
When we receive this information from you, we will update our records with your details. If you would like us to issue a new a Certificate of Authenticity in your name, there is a charge $A 50.
If you would like a current valuation on your print at the same time as the new certificate is issued, there is no additional charge. If you request a valuation later, the cost is $A 50 for the first print, then $A 10 for each additional print, up to a maximum of $A 100.
Please telephone the Gallery on +61 2 4367 6701 or email erina@kenduncan.com to arrange for a Certificate of Authenticity to be re-issued, or to request a valuation. We will need to charge your credit card at the time of your request.

If you would like to part ways with your Limited Edition Print, we recommend you sell your print privately. Please you do your research well and ensure you are clear about what you are selling – i.e. the print title, print number, print size and the condition of the frame.
If you own a Limited Edition Print which has sold out, you can list it in our Hall of Fame. https://kenduncan.com/product-category/prints/?filter_edition=hall-of-fame-resale-prints

If you would like us to update your details in our registration records, please email all your contact information – the old and the new – to erina@kenduncan.com.
