Back in the 1980’s very few people were aware of the existence of this amazing area, otherwise known as Bell Gorge Falls. It was shown to me by a friend, Indigenous legend Sammy Lovell, who wanted to show me this very special part of his sacred lands. Since that time, I have returned on numerous occasions, pursuing an ever-evolving quest to capture the magic of this spectacular location. Now a popular tourist destination, many people come and go, often spending only one or two hours here before beginning the return hike to their campsites for the evening. In doing so, they miss what I believe is the real majesty this place has to offer – the twilight hour – which so few get to witness.
